Residents and businesses are being urged to avoid discharging waste into public areas and to report any violations they witness.
Fines will be applied according to the severity of the offense, starting at Dh 1,000 for a first-time violation, escalating to Dh 2,000 for a second, and reaching up to Dh 4,000 for repeated infractions. This is in line with regulations under Clause No. 35 of Law No. 2 of 2012.
The municipality has highlighted the importance of maintaining a clean and sustainable urban environment, sharing images of examples like unauthorized runoff creating unsightly puddles outside residential complexes.
