Air Arabia reported its strongest-ever annual performance on Thursday, posting a record pre-tax net profit of AED 1.8 billion for the year ended Dec. 31, 2025, according to WAM.
The profit marked a 14% increase from AED 1.6 billion in 2024. Total turnover rose 15% to AED 7.78 billion from AED 6.76 billion a year earlier, the airline said.
The Sharjah-based carrier expanded its network across six operating hubs during the year, adding 30 new routes. The expansion lifted operational capacity by 10% and passenger numbers by 16% to 21.8 million across the group.
Air Arabia said its average seat load factor improved by four percentage points to 85%, reflecting sustained demand and operating efficiency.
The airline’s board has proposed a dividend distribution equal to 30% of share capital, or 30 fils per share. The proposal is subject to shareholder approval at the upcoming annual general meeting.
Chairman Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohamed Al Thani said the results were driven by disciplined execution of the airline’s growth strategy and customer trust in its value-focused offering.
He said the company maintained operational efficiency and business flexibility despite geopolitical tensions, inflation and supply chain pressures during 2025, enabling it to expand its customer base and strengthen its presence in key markets.
Air Arabia also reported a record net profit of AED 405 million in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31, 2025, up 15% from AED 351 million a year earlier.
Fourth-quarter turnover climbed 26% to AED 2.12 billion, supported by a 22% rise in passenger numbers to more than 5.7 million across all hubs. The seat load factor increased five percentage points to 87%, the airline said.
