An American traveler remains unreachable after winning $1 million in Dubai's popular airport lottery, one of the many extravagant promotions that have made the Gulf commercial hub famous for its luxury prizes and shopping opportunities, the Khaleej Times reported.

Tanaz C, from Houston, Texas, won the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Series 493 on Wednesday with ticket number 2912, which she purchased on February 24. According to lottery officials, she was unavailable for immediate comment due to the time difference between the UAE and the United States.

The promotion also named Ali Al Jaberi, a 62-year-old Emirati from Abu Dhabi, as its second millionaire of the day. Al Jaberi, a father of four and retired engineer from the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (Adnoc), won in the Millennium Millionaire Series 494 with ticket number 3659, which he purchased online on March 5.

Al Jaberi has been a regular participant in Dubai Duty Free's promotion for 10 years.

The Dubai Duty Free promotion, launched in 1999, has become one of the world's most recognized airport raffles, transforming travelers passing through Dubai International Airport into instant millionaires.

In addition to the $1 million cash prizes, Wednesday's draw awarded luxury vehicles to three other winners. Jamal Aziz Azmi, an Indian national from Sharjah, won a Mercedes Benz S500. Swedi Athumani Kisokile, a 47-year-old Tanzanian government employee, won a Land Rover Defender 110 V8 HSE P525.

"I'm so happy for this wonderful news! I can't believe I have won this early with only my second ticket in your promotion, thank you so much Dubai Duty Free!" Kisokile said.

The final winner announced was Abdul Qudoos, a Pakistani national based in Ajman, who won a BMW S 1000 XR M Package motorcycle.

The Dubai Duty Free promotion continues to draw participants from around the world, with tickets available for purchase at Dubai International Airport or through the organization's online platform.
