Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, visited Quetta on Tuesday to review the security situation and ongoing counterterrorism operations in Balochistan, the country’s restive southwestern province.

During the visit, Field Marshal Munir received a detailed briefing on recent terrorist attacks allegedly carried out by Indian-backed, internationally designated militants from Fitna al Hindustan. The briefing highlighted the swift response of security forces, which thwarted attempts to destabilize the province and disrupt ongoing development projects.

The army chief emphasized that measures are being taken to strengthen the writ of the state and ensure the protection of civilians and critical infrastructure.

“No terrorist or facilitator will be spared. All will be dealt with strictly in accordance with the law,” he said, adding that violence and terrorism are unacceptable under any pretext. He also paid tribute to the professionalism, valor, and sacrifices of officers and personnel across Pakistan’s law enforcement and security agencies.

Field Marshal Munir later visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Quetta, accompanied by the Chief Minister of Balochistan Sarfaraz Bugti, to meet wounded personnel from the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps Balochistan, and local police. He lauded their courage and steadfastness in countering foreign-sponsored terrorism, highlighting their critical role in maintaining law and order.
