Pakistani banking apps have mostly done the job without doing much else. Bank AL Habib is trying to change that with AL Habib Digital, a mobile banking app rebuilt from the ground up.
Bank AL Habib operates 1,354 branches across 550 cities, so putting this much functionality directly into customers' phones is a significant move for an institution its size.
What's actually new
This isn't a redesign layered on top of the old app. AL Habib Digital is fully native, and it shows in how the app feels: quick to load, quick to respond, with no lag between tapping something and it happening.
Biometric login means no more typing in passwords. Dark mode is finally here too, for anyone who has been waiting.

Make it yours
The dashboard is customizable. Keep the services you actually use front and centre, and move the rest out of the way. Interactive widgets put transfers, bill payments and mobile top-ups within a tap or two, wherever you are in the app.
Less waiting, less friction
Sending money no longer requires adding someone as a payee first. That single change removes one of the most common reasons people abandon a transfer halfway through.
Card management has also moved fully into the app. Block or unblock a card, change your PIN, adjust your limits, all without calling a helpline or visiting a branch.
Why it's worth downloading
AL Habib Digital isn't trying to be everything. It's trying to be a genuinely good banking app, built for people who expect their bank to keep up with the rest of their phone. For anyone who's ever given up on a banking app mid-transaction, this one is worth a look.
AL Habib Digital is available now on the App Store, Google Play and Huawei AppGallery.
