In this conversation, Danish Khaliq, VP Sales & Strategy at BYD Pakistan (Mega Motor Company), shares an update on the company’s upcoming EV plant near Sindh’s Gharo. The facility, backed by around $150 million in investment, is expected to have an annual production capacity of 25,000 units.
While BYD initially entered Pakistan with imported Completely Built-Up (CBU) units, work on the local plant has been underway since early 2025. According to the company, the project is on schedule, with production expected to begin by Q3-Q4 this year.
