Carrying the torch: Shoaib Mohammad on family legacy and Pakistan cricket's challenges
Shoaib Mohammad, the son of legendary Hanif Mohammad, opened up about carrying on the rich legacy of the Mohammad family, a name synonymous with Pakistan cricket.
The right-handed batsman had represented Pakistan in 45 Tests and 63 one-day internationals from 1983 to 1995.
On Nukta’s Circle of Champions, Shoaib reminisced about growing up in a cricket-mad household, dealing with sky-high expectations, and addressing the often-heard whispers of nepotism.
The former player also shared his unfiltered thoughts on Pakistan cricket’s current dynamics. From talent management to structural challenges, he offered insights and solutions only an insider can provide.
His defensive playing style may have mirrored his father’s patience, but his story is uniquely his own.
