Dubai launches 'AI Seal' to certify trusted AI companies

Dubai is setting a new benchmark in artificial intelligence (AI) with the launch of the 'AI Seal,' an initiative aimed at fostering trust in reputable AI companies while positioning the city as a global leader in the field.

The program, launched under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, aligns with the “Dubai Universal Blueprint for AI” and underscores the emirate’s commitment to secure and responsible AI solutions.

A trusted network for AI innovation

The 'Dubai AI Seal' initiative creates a trusted network of AI companies that businesses and government entities can rely on for innovative and secure AI services. Each certified company will be awarded a unique AI Seal with a serial number and classification, reinforcing their credibility and reliability.

Certification is essential for technology companies wishing to partner with the UAE and Dubai governments on AI-related projects. Seal-certified companies will be authorized to showcase their status across digital platforms and promotional materials, further enhancing their market appeal.

Open to Dubai-based AI companies

Technology companies licensed in Dubai and offering AI-related products or services can apply for the certification free of charge. Applicants will be assessed on six criteria, including their activities, services, AI expertise, ongoing and future projects, and partnerships in the public and private sectors.

Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, which oversees the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI), stated:

“This initiative will help create powerful partnerships between the public and private sectors, locally, regionally, and globally. It will drive new economic opportunities by leveraging AI to better serve the economy, society, and the future we aspire to.”
