Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a cutting-edge digital logistics platform designed to offer commercial transport services, manage logistics and vehicle fleets, and provide on-demand booking and tracking services.

In collaboration with TruKKer, the platform, named Logisty, will officially launch in December, with the goal of improving user experience through efficient and reliable freight transport services. The platform features an AI-powered CBM calculator that allows users to estimate shipment volumes by uploading photos or videos.

According to Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, the platform supports the Dubai Economic Agenda, which aims to enhance Dubai's position as one of the top three economic cities in the world.

“This initiative also aligns with the Dubai Commercial Road Transport & Logistics Strategy 2030, along with the associated roadmap and projects aimed at doubling the direct contribution of the commercial road transport logistics sector to the emirate's economy to AED 16.8 billion, increasing technology adoption in the sector’s infrastructure by 75%, and improving operational efficiency by 10%,” said Al Tayer.

Seventeen key projects are outlined under the Commercial Road Transport & Logistics Strategy 2030 to increase competitiveness and operational efficiency.

The commercial transport sector in Dubai has grown significantly, with over 10,000 commercial transport companies and 351,000 registered vehicles. In 2023, the transport and storage sector contributed AED 31.4 billion to Dubai’s GDP, accounting for 42.8%.
