Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon condemn plot targeting UAE security
Countries express solidarity with UAE and back measures taken by its authorities to protect national security and stability

Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon have strongly condemned attacks and alleged plots targeting the United Arab Emirates, expressing solidarity with the Gulf state and supporting measures taken by its authorities to safeguard security and stability.
In separate statements, the three countries denounced what they described as terrorist attempts to undermine the UAE’s security and destabilize the region, while reaffirming their rejection of violence and support for Gulf states confronting such threats.
Egypt strongly condemned what it described as terrorist and sabotage plots targeting the security and stability of Gulf states, most recently the UAE and Kuwait, saying authorities in both countries had successfully thwarted the attempts and dismantled the networks involved.
In a statement, Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed full solidarity with the UAE, Kuwait and other Gulf states and pledged support in confronting “any attempts to undermine their sovereignty, threaten their security stability, or intimidate their citizens and residents.”
The ministry said Egypt backs all steps and security and legal measures taken by authorities in the UAE, Kuwait and other Gulf states to protect their people, resources and internal stability, while reiterating its firm rejection of violence and terrorism across the region.
Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs also condemned what it called a “terrorist plot” targeting the UAE through an attempt to infiltrate its economy and destabilize its financial system.
In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), the ministry described the attempt as a rejected act aimed at threatening the UAE’s security and stability.
Jordan reaffirmed its full solidarity with the UAE and stressed its support for all measures taken by Emirati authorities to safeguard sovereignty, security and stability and ensure the safety of citizens and residents.
The ministry also reiterated the kingdom’s rejection of all forms of terrorism that seek to undermine regional security.
Lebanon’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants also condemned what it described as a terrorist plot targeting the UAE, while denouncing the alleged involvement of Hezbollah.
The ministry recalled a Lebanese government decision issued March 2, 2026, banning Hezbollah’s military and security activities.
In a statement carried by Lebanon’s National News Agency, the ministry expressed full solidarity with the UAE and noted the Gulf country’s longstanding support for Lebanon during times of hardship.
It also praised the vigilance of UAE security agencies and said Lebanon stands ready to cooperate in investigations to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
