Etihad Rail tickets from Dubai to Abu Dhabi now on sale for Sept 30 launch

Bookings have opened for passengers wanting to travel on Etihad Rail from the Dubai station to Abu Dhabi, Khaleej Times reported. Tickets can be booked through the Etihad Rail website or app ahead of the September 30 launch.

How much do Etihad Rail tickets from Dubai to Abu Dhabi cost?

Ticket prices from Dubai to Abu Dhabi start at Dh39 per person in Comfort Class and Dh109 in Premium Class. The first train departs at 6:15 am, with four additional trips available throughout the day. The journey takes about one hour and four minutes.

Is there an Etihad Rail service from Dubai to Fujairah?

One service is currently available for passengers traveling from Dubai to Fujairah. That trip takes about one hour and 10 minutes. Additional services on this route have not yet been announced.

What is the difference between Comfort and Premium Class?

When does the new Dubai Etihad Rail station open?

The Dubai station, officially named Al Yalayis Station, is scheduled to open on September 30, 2026, alongside Al Dhaid Station in Sharjah. The station is located in Jumeirah Golf Estates, near Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311). It will be within reach of communities including Al Furjan, Dubai Investment Park, and Dubai South.

A second Etihad Rail station is planned for Meydan. That station will connect with the upcoming Dubai Metro Gold Line, which is scheduled for completion in 2032.

Will Etihad Rail connect to the Dubai Metro?

The Dubai station will also feature a planned connection to the Dubai Metro. A pedestrian bridge is under construction to link Al Yalayis Station with Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station on the Red Line. This will allow passengers to transfer between the national rail network and Dubai's urban transport system.

Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority had earlier confirmed that the Nol card system is ready to integrate with Etihad Rail. This will let passengers use their Nol cards across metro, bus, taxi, and rail services.

When did Etihad Rail launch its first passenger service?

Etihad Rail's first passenger service launched on June 30, 2026. The inaugural train departed Fujairah Station at 5:34 am and arrived at Mohamed Bin Zayed City Station in Abu Dhabi at 7:19 am. The roughly 250-kilometer trip was completed in about one hour and 45 minutes, ahead of schedule.

At the time, Etihad Rail reported that more than 10,000 tickets had been sold ahead of the first day of operations, with six passenger services scheduled that day.
