In the Group ‘C’ match of the ICC Men’s U19 Cricket World Cup 2026 at Takashinga Sports Club, Harare, England Under-19s defeated Pakistan Under-19s by 37 runs on Friday.

Chasing 211 for victory, Pakistan struggled against disciplined English bowling and were bowled out for 173 in 46.3 overs. Farhan Yousaf came in at number five with Pakistan reeling at 28 for three and quickly settled the innings. He shared a 26-run partnership with Ahmed Hussain (12 off 34 balls) for the fourth wicket before Pakistan slipped to 85 for six in the 25th over.

Farhan then combined with Abdul Subhan to add 48 runs for the seventh wicket before Subhan was run out for 14. Farhan battled on, completing a fighting 65 off 86 balls with three fours and four sixes, before being dismissed in the 41st over. Momin Qamar remained unbeaten on 18, hitting a four and a six, but Pakistan fell short.

Earlier, England, put into bat, posted 210 all out in 46.5 overs. Caleb Falconer top-scored with 66 off 73 balls, while Ben Dawkins contributed 33.

Pakistan’s bowling attack saw Ahmed Hussain take 3 for 38 and also hold a stunning catch, while Abdul Subhan (2), Ali Raza (2), and Momin Qamar (2) shared the rest of the wickets.

Pakistan will face Scotland in their next fixture on Monday, 19 January, at the same venue.
