How you could win AED 10,000, 50-gram gold bar at a Dubai metro station

Public transport users in Dubai could win a 50-gram gold bar, AED 10,000 in cash and up to one million nol+ points.

Dubai’s Road and Transport Authority (RTA) will hold special activities and events from Oct. 28 onwards, leading up to Public Transport Day, marked on Nov. 1.

The ‘Mysterious Man Challenge’ encourages participants to spot a ‘Mysterious Man’ in metro stations from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1. One person a day will win an AED 10,000 cash prize, with the winner getting an additional 50-gram gold bar on Nov 1 .

In a ceremony, the RTA will recognize three of the most frequent public transport users as "Public Transport Champions" across six categories. The categories include:

• Most frequent user from 2009 until November 1, 2024
• Most frequent user from the week of Public Transport Day 2024
• Most frequent RTA employee user
• Most frequent person of determination user
• Most frequent senior citizen user
• Most frequent student user

First place winners will receive one million nol+ points, the runner-up will get 500,000 nol+ points, and the third place winner will receive 250,000 nol+ points.

Celebrated annually on Nov 1, this year’s 15th annual Public Transport Day is held under the theme ‘Good for You, Great for Dubai.’
