Triggered by the Pahalgam attack in Indian-administered Kashmir, the crisis rapidly intensified into cross-border missile strikes, drone warfare, airbase attacks and high-stakes aerial combat, pushing the region to the brink of a wider conflict.
India launched Operation Sindoor, while Pakistan responded with Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, as diplomatic channels faltered and tensions surged along the Line of Control.
In this episode, The Blue Newsroom hosted by Amber Shamsi examines how the four-day confrontation unfolded and why Pakistan’s response drew global attention despite India’s larger economy, military spending and manpower.
The program explores the timeline of events, military strategy, escalation dynamics, air battles, drone operations, political messaging and the key moments that reshaped perceptions of power and deterrence in South Asia.
