Italian President Sergio Mattarella visited the UAE on Wednesday, meeting with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed to strengthen bilateral relations and advance the UAE-Italy strategic partnership.
During talks at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, the leaders discussed expanding cooperation in economy, investment, advanced technology, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, sustainability, and cultural exchange.
Both emphasized their commitment to promoting prosperity and development for both nations.
Mattarella described the UAE-Italy relationship as long-standing and built on trust and mutual respect, while the discussions also addressed regional and international issues, highlighting the importance of dialogue and diplomatic solutions to conflicts.
The UAE president noted that relations between the two countries have grown steadily since 1971, underscoring cultural collaboration as a bridge for mutual understanding and shared values.
