The Pakistan Association Dubai (PAD) has made it into the Guinness World Records by creating the largest UAE flag using handprints, offering a powerful tribute to the Emirates’ values of unity and diversity, WAM reported.

Featuring 24,514 unique handprints from individuals of over 100 nationalities, the flag was officially unveiled during a special event at the Pakistan Auditorium.

Guinness World Records adjudicators verified the achievement during the ceremony, which was attended by key dignitaries including Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Consul General Hussain Muhammad, and community leaders from both Pakistan and the UAE.

“This project is a beautiful expression of the UAE’s values -- tolerance, innovation, and solidarity,” said Ambassador Tirmizi. “It is a testament to the deep bond shared by our two nations, and a proud milestone for the Pakistani community.”

The record-breaking installation was a joint initiative by PAD, Emirates Loves, and artist Rubab Zahra, who envisioned the massive artwork as the centerpiece of the "Hands of Unity" campaign -- a month-long effort aligned with the UAE’s Year of Community.

Spanning 23 schools, 39 community hubs, and thousands of participants, the campaign brought people from all walks of life together to leave their mark, quite literally, on a symbol of collective identity.

“This flag is our message of love and gratitude to the UAE, a country that has embraced us as its own,” said Dr. Faisel Ikram, President of PAD. “This record represents more than numbers — it’s about spirit, inclusion, and the incredible things we can achieve when we come together.”
