Pakistan's women's cricket team claimed the bronze medal at the 2026 Asian Games on Tuesday, beating Bangladesh by 31 runs in the third-place playoff at Korogi Sports Park, Nisshin.
Fatima Sana's unbeaten 45 and Umm-e-Hani's three wickets proved decisive as Pakistan defended a total of 145-8.
Batting first, the green shirts posted 145-8 in 20 overs after Bangladesh's bowlers kept a tight check on the innings.
Bangladesh were then restricted to 114-7 in their chase, as Pakistan's bowling attack staged a strong comeback. The 31-run margin secured the bronze medal for the Green Shirts.

Captain Fatima Sana top-scored with an unbeaten 45 off 30 balls, striking three fours and three sixes. Opener Gull Feroza added 31 off 23 deliveries, hitting six boundaries. Aliya Riaz chipped in with 25 off 22 balls, while opener Shawaal Zulfiqar made 17 off 27 deliveries without finding the boundary.
Further down the order, Saira Jabeen was dismissed for five off six balls, and Ayesha Zafar scored nine off seven deliveries. Eyman Fatima was out for a duck after facing three balls, while Tuba Hassan added four off two deliveries.
How did Pakistan defend the target?
Chasing 146, Bangladesh's Shamim Akhter fought hard for an unbeaten 46 off 45 balls, hitting four boundaries. Captain Nigar Sultana made 25 off 30 deliveries, and opener Dilara Akter scored 12 off eight balls.
Shorna Akter added six, while Juairiya Ferdous and Rabeya Khan each contributed four runs. Ritu Moni, Sobhana Mostary and an unbeaten Nahida Akter added the remaining runs as Bangladesh fell short.
Umm-e-Hani led Pakistan's bowling with figures of 3/10 from her four overs. Tasmia Rubab, Fatima Sana, Nashra Sandhu and Ayesha Zafar each took one wicket as Pakistan restricted Bangladesh to 114-7, sealing the bronze medal.
