Pakistan has increased the prices of petrol and diesel by over PKR 4 for the next two weeks, according to an official notification issued on Tuesday.
The government revises the price of petroleum products every fortnight to keep them in line with any increase or decrease in global oil prices.
The Ministry of Finance notification stated that the price of petrol has increased by PKR 4.07, from PKR 264.61 to PKR 268.68, and that of high-speed diesel by PKR 4.04, from PKR 272.77 to PKR 276.81. The prices will take effect on October 1.Earlier on September 15, the government had kept the prices of petrol and diesel unchanged.
