At just 25 years old, Usama Saleem, a cybersecurity expert from Karachi, Pakistan, has earned a place in NASA’s prestigious Hall of Fame.
Saleem was recognized for his discovery of two critical security vulnerabilities in NASA’s systems, which had the potential to expose highly sensitive data and disrupt the organization’s operations.
His findings not only strengthened NASA’s cybersecurity defenses but also marked a significant contribution to the global field of cybersecurity.

Despite only three years of experience, Saleem has quickly risen to prominence due to his expertise in Azure Security, Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, and other SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems.
He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in cyber security at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Pakistan and holds over 20 certifications, including the CEH Practical and Microsoft Cyber Security Architect.
Saleem’s dedication to cybersecurity has been recognized by leading tech companies, with Microsoft naming him a Sentinel Black Belt in both 2023 and 2024 — an accolade that highlights his specialized skills and commitment to innovation.
His work serves as a testament to the potential of young professionals in Pakistan’s growing information technology sector, inspiring a new generation of cybersecurity experts.
