Cereal delegation visiting Bangladesh to strengthen agricultural trade ties
Bangladesh presents a promising market for Pakistani cereals and food products

A delegation of the Cereal Association of Pakistan (CAP) is set to visit Bangladesh for a weeklong trip aimed at exploring export opportunities in agricultural commodities such as rice, maize, and spices.
Led by CAP’s founding chairman, Muzammil Rauf Chappal, the delegation will meet with trade bodies, government officials, and business leaders in Dhaka and Chittagong to explore export opportunities for rice, maize, and spices.
The visit comes amid improving trade relations, with Pakistan recently exporting 50,000 tons of rice to Bangladesh at a government-to-government level.
Chappal highlighted Bangladesh’s growing interest in Pakistani food products and praised the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) for facilitating the visit. He also credited Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar and the Pakistani Embassy in Bangladesh for their support.
The delegation is scheduled to meet with representatives from Bangladesh’s Export Promotion Bureau, the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Pakistan-Bangladesh Business Forum, the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FBCCI), and the Feed Industry Association of Bangladesh.
Chappal expressed optimism about the visit, saying it could open new trade channels and boost Pakistan’s foreign exchange earnings.
