Pakistan International Airlines will require passengers on international flights to carry a vaccination certificate integrated with the National Database and Registration Authority from September 14.

The airline announced the NADRA vaccination certificate requirement in a travel advisory issued on Saturday.

What is the NADRA vaccination certificate requirement?

Passengers without the required NADRA-integrated vaccination certificate will not be allowed to travel internationally, a PIA spokesperson said.

The airline advised international passengers to complete the required vaccination formalities and ensure their NADRA-integrated vaccination proof is available before departure.

Does the rule apply to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims?

The requirement also applies to passengers travelling for Hajj and Umrah, with the airline advising pilgrims to obtain vaccinations only from authorised government vaccination centres.

Umrah pilgrims must obtain a digital vaccination card issued through NADRA before travelling, the spokesperson said. This applies alongside the general international travel requirement rather than replacing it.

Where can passengers get vaccinated before their flight?

PIA said vaccination facilities would be made available at airports in the coming days for passengers who still need to complete the requirement before departure. Passengers planning to get vaccinated at the airport have been advised to arrive at least six hours before their scheduled flight to allow sufficient time for the process.

The airline urged all international passengers to obtain the required vaccination documentation in advance to avoid delays or disruption to their travel plans.
