Pakistan's corporate sector is booming, with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) registering 2,477 new companies in October.

This brings the total number of registered companies to 233,587, reflecting growing confidence in Pakistan's corporate sector. However, the SECP data notably omits specific details on the amount of new investments received last month.

The majority of new registrations were private limited companies, accounting for 57% of the total, while single-member companies represented 41%. The remaining 2% included public unlisted companies, not-for-profit organizations, and limited liability partnerships.

Sectoral Growth Highlights:
- Information Technology and E-commerce: 556 new companies
- Services: 486 new companies
- Trading: 388 new companies
- Real Estate Development & Construction: 270 new companies

Foreign investment also saw encouraging growth, with 48 new companies receiving international capital. China emerged as the largest investor, contributing to 39 new companies. This growth underscores Pakistan's market potential and the SECP's efforts to create a business-friendly environment.
