Global powers urge calm as India-Pakistan conflict escalates
Kamran Khan says world leaders fear the India-Pakistan standoff could spiral into full-scale nuclear war
Kamran Khan said on Thursday that diplomatic pressure is mounting on both Pakistan and India to de-escalate after a dangerous flare-up in cross-border hostilities.
In his latest vlog, Khan said the United States, China, Russia, the European Union and Middle Eastern allies are all calling for restraint. He revealed that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio held separate phone calls with Pakistan’s National Security Adviser Lt. Gen. Asim Malik and India’s Ajit Doval.
“Superpowers want to prevent any further confrontation,” Khan said.
India continues its aggressive rhetoric, Khan noted, but Pakistan is confident following a strong military response.
“Pakistan downed five of India’s most advanced fighter jets in one hour,” Khan said. “It also destroyed an Indian brigade headquarters. This is a proud moment for our conventional defense forces.”
Still, Khan warned that the situation remains highly volatile.
“The real question now is: where will this end?” he said. “How and when will the international community step forward to push peace talks and prevent a full-spectrum nuclear war?”
Khan said the world is watching—and time to act may be running out.
