A Pakistani technology company has landed on the African continent.
SupernetGlobal, a Karachi-based provider of ICT infrastructure, connectivity, and cybersecurity solutions, has deployed its first satellite-based internet service in Tanzania.
The deployment provides high-capacity internet connectivity via satellite infrastructure, targeting the kind of remote and underserved regions where traditional fiber and wireless networks remain limited.
SupernetGlobal said the Tanzania project reflects its broader strategy of entering markets where satellite expertise can deliver meaningful impact. The company added that it intends to progressively introduce its wider portfolio — spanning ICT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital services — into international markets as its expansion continues.
The company, which trades on the Pakistan Stock Exchange under the brand Supernet Global following the merger of Supernet Limited into Supernet Technologies Limited earlier this year, has maintained an international presence through UAE operations.
The Africa deployment, however, marks its first satellite-based service on the continent, which it views as an entry point for a broader long-term presence.
