Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the president of the United Arab Emirates, spoke by phone with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss bilateral ties, economic cooperation and regional developments, the UAE state news agency WAM reported.
The two leaders explored avenues to strengthen cooperation and joint action across a range of sectors, with a focus on economic and development priorities. They discussed opportunities to expand collaboration in areas of mutual interest, underscoring their shared commitment to supporting sustainable growth and long-term prosperity in both countries.
The leaders reaffirmed the importance of building on the long-standing relationship between the United Arab Emirates and Pakistan, and agreed on the need to leverage existing partnerships and future initiatives to further deepen bilateral engagement. The discussion also covered a number of regional and international issues, with an exchange of views on matters of common concern.
Prime Minister Sharif welcomed the UAE’s continued engagement with Pakistan and acknowledged the role of Emirati-backed development initiatives in supporting economic activity and infrastructure development. Both sides reiterated their intention to maintain close coordination and regular dialogue to advance cooperation across multiple fields.
