UAE president receives Russian security council secretary
Leaders discuss strengthening strategic partnership and addressing regional issues
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
The meeting, held at Qasr Al Shati, aimed to strengthen cooperation and advance joint initiatives between the UAE and Russia, following Sheikh Mohamed's recent official visit to Russia.
Shoigu conveyed greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin and expressed hopes for continued growth in UAE-Russia relations. Sheikh Mohamed extended his best wishes to President Putin, reaffirming both nations’ dedication to deepening their strategic partnership across multiple sectors.
The two leaders also discussed regional and international issues of shared interest, underlining their commitment to collaborative efforts.
The meeting was attended by UAE officials, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; and Dr. Mohammad Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Ambassador to Russia.
