Eric Gaudiosi, Chargé d’Affaires at the US Embassy to the UAE, said marking the 250th anniversary of US independence in the United Arab Emirates underscores the depth and breadth of ties between the two countries, WAM reported.
Speaking to the Emirates News Agency on the sidelines of the event, Gaudiosi said the UAE was a fitting venue to reflect both US history and the shared future of the partnership, citing long-standing cooperation across political, economic and social spheres. He highlighted strong people-to-people links, noting that a large American community has helped cement bilateral relations over time.
Describing the UAE as a crossroads for the region and a place of opportunity, Gaudiosi said Americans and Emiratis share a forward-looking outlook and work closely to address emerging regional and global challenges. He added that the two sides view each other as reliable partners and allies, drawing on mutual experience and a willingness to engage.
On economic ties, the envoy said cooperation continues to grow in areas such as advanced technology, education, healthcare and space, with expanding collaboration between Emirati institutions and US companies. He described the relationship as a “two-way superhighway,” reflecting the scale of exchange and cooperation.
Gaudiosi said both countries remain committed to investing in their partnership to promote prosperity, security and stability, adding that opportunities for deeper cooperation remain wide-ranging as relations continue to evolve.
