Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE’s Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, welcomed a delegation from the Arab Parliament at his majlis in Abu Dhabi, WAM reported Tuesday.

The group was led by Mohammed Ahmed Al-Yamahi, President of the Arab Parliament, and included a number of deputies and members.

The meeting underscored the UAE’s commitment to fostering deeper engagement with Arab institutions and advancing cooperation built on shared values of brotherhood, solidarity, and collective action.

Talks focused on strengthening parliamentary cooperation to support sustainable development across the region. Both sides highlighted the growing importance of parliamentary diplomacy as a means of bridging divides, encouraging dialogue, and addressing regional challenges. The discussions also emphasized empowering youth and women as essential drivers of the Arab world’s future.

Delegates from the Arab Parliament commended the UAE for its leading role in promoting Arab unity and championing values of tolerance, coexistence, and peace. They praised the UAE leadership’s dedication to advancing collective Arab initiatives.

Closing the meeting, Sheikh Nahyan reiterated the UAE’s readiness to support regional efforts that promote stability and development, expressing hope that such engagements would pave the way for stronger partnerships serving the aspirations of people across the Arab world.
