The United States and several Gulf and Middle Eastern nations issued a joint statement on Tuesday condemning missile and drone strikes carried out by Iran across the region.
The declaration, issued by the United States along with Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, described the attacks as “indiscriminate” and “reckless,” targeting sovereign territories and civilian populations.
According to the statement, Iranian strikes affected multiple countries, including Bahrain, Iraq — specifically the Iraqi Kurdistan Region — Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
The signatories labeled the attacks “unjustified,” warning that they endangered civilians, damaged infrastructure, and represented a dangerous escalation that violated the sovereignty of multiple states.
“Targeting civilians and neutral countries is reckless and destabilizing,” the statement said, reaffirming the nations’ commitment to protecting their citizens, territorial integrity, and sovereignty. The countries also reiterated their right to self-defense in response to the strikes.
The declaration highlighted ongoing regional cooperation in air and missile defense, noting that such measures had prevented greater loss of life and damage to critical infrastructure.
The coordinated statement signals heightened tensions in the Middle East and a unified response from Washington and its regional partners to what they described as escalating Iranian military activity.
