Pakistan's weightlifting star, Nooh Butt, opens up about the ongoing dispute with the Pakistan Weightlifting Federation (PWF) that has threatened to derail his career.

In an exclusive interview with Nukta, Butt shares his side of the story, revealing the challenges he's faced and his hopes for a resolution.

Due to strained relations with PWF, Butt missed not only the Paris Olympics qualifiers but also last year’s Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.

The lack of opportunities in weightlifting also forced Butt to transition to powerlifting. The move paid dividends as he stole the limelight at the recently held Commonwealth Powerlifting Championship in South Africa, where he won seven golds.

During the interview, Butt also shed light on his unexpected friendship with Indian weightlifters, defying cross-border tensions.
