Alibaba.com, a leading global business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce platform, announced Thursday the launch of a new suite of online logistics services designed to help Pakistani exporters streamline international trade processes.

The move comes as cross-border e-commerce continues to grow rapidly, offering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Pakistan new opportunities to expand globally.

However, many businesses still face logistical challenges, including high shipping costs and complex delivery processes.

To address these issues, Alibaba.com has partnered with international express delivery providers such as CPEX, enabling Pakistani sellers to ship goods to more than 200 countries and regions. The integrated service covers packaging, warehousing and delivery, helping businesses reduce costs and improve efficiency.

Key features of the logistics solution include transparent pricing with upfront quotes, AI-powered smart shipping recommendations and real-time order tracking. The platform also offers customs advisory services to minimize delays and risks.

"Online logistics services are essential for SMEs in global trade," said Summer Gao, Head of Global Supply Chain at Alibaba.com.

"They not only streamline operations and reduce costs but also empower businesses to reach global markets with ease."

One success story is Clush Industries, a Pakistani garment exporter that joined Alibaba.com in 2024. The company now generates 100% of its export revenue through the platform, reaching customers in the U.S., Canada, Australia and the U.K.

"Alibaba.com's logistics services have accelerated our transactions and strengthened customer trust," said Zulqarnain Baryar, CEO of Clush Industries.

"The tracking and optimized shipping routes ensure timely deliveries, helping us expand internationally."

Berry Ma, Head of Pakistan Business at Alibaba.com, emphasized the platform’s commitment to supporting local exporters. "We’re providing essential tools to help Pakistani businesses overcome traditional trade barriers and tap into global growth opportunities," Ma said.
