Bangladesh Test side on Tuesday landed in Lahore amid tight security to play a two-match Test series against Pakistan which is part of the ICC World Test Championship.

The team, being led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, was escorted to hotel under a box security arrangement.

Heavy contingents of police have been deployed around the hotel where the visitors are staying. Security personnel were also seen working vigilantly at different important spots of the city.

Bangladesh will rest today and will undergo training sessions on the next three days successively at the Gaddafi Stadium before flying for Islamabad on August 17 to resume their training at the Pindi Stadium.

The first Test will begin in Rawalpindi from August 21 while the second Test will be conducted at the National Bank Stadium Karachi from August 30.
