The wait is finally over! After months of anticipation, Coldplay is set to rock Mumbai this weekend as part of their highly anticipated ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour.’ Grammy-winning, global superstars Coldplay will hit the stage at D.Y. Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai, for three electrifying shows on January 18, 19, and 21 and in Ahmedabad on Jan 25 and 26.

Timings and entry

The gates open at 3 p.m. each day in Mumbai, with Coldplay set to take the stage around 7:45 p.m. Attendees should note that wristbands, either delivered or picked up at the box office, will serve as entry tickets. No physical tickets will be sold at the venue, so be sure to have your wristband ready!

Given the buzz surrounding Coldplay’s concerts, security measures are tight. Attendees must bring a valid government photo ID along with the soft copy of the primary ticket-holder's ID. Several security checks will be conducted to prevent counterfeit wristbands and ticket scalping. BookMyShow has also warned of strict action against black marketers, following past controversies about ticket reselling.

Before Coldplay takes the spotlight, the crowd will be warmed up by some incredible talent. Artists Shone, Elyanna, and Jasleen Royal will take the stage, setting the vibe for what’s sure to be an unforgettable night.

The setlist will feature chart-topping hits from their latest album, Music of the Spheres, including We Pray and Feels Like Falling in Love. Of course, the classics like Yellow, The Scientist, Hymn for the Weekend, Fix You, Viva La Vida, A Sky Full of Stars, and Adventure of a Lifetime will make an appearance, keeping both old and new fans on their toes.

Special train services for concert goers

To make commuting easier for concertgoers, Full Tariff Rate (FTR) suburban trains will run between Goregaon and Nerul stations, making it easier for fans to reach D.Y. Patil Stadium. These FTR trains will make stops at Bandra, Andheri, Wadala Road, Chembur, and Jainagar stations, with trains departing Goregaon at 2 p.m. on January 18 and 19, and 2:50 p.m. on January 21. Return trips will leave Nerul after the concert ends.

Additionally, Western Railway is running special trains between Mumbai and Ahmedabad for the Coldplay concerts in Gujarat, addressing the surge in demand. These will be available for booking via BookMyShow, though it’s unclear whether they’ll cater exclusively to concert ticket-holders or also the general public.

Coldplay touch down in Mumbai

Chris Martin and his fiancée, Dakota Johnson, made their arrival in Mumbai on January 16, greeted by a sea of eager fans and paparazzi. The couple didn’t waste any time and took in some of the city's iconic sights, including a trip to Marine Drive.

If you missed out on tickets, don’t worry! Coldplay’s January 26 concert in Ahmedabad will be streamed live across India on Disney+ Hotstar. The band announced the exciting news on social media.
