Diriyah unveils media and innovation district to elevate Saudi Arabia’s creative industries

Diriyah Company has announced the launch of its Media and Innovation District, a future-focused hub designed to drive technological advancements, media production, and creative industries in the region. The announcement was made at MIPIM 2025 in Cannes, where Diriyah showcased its latest developments and commercial investment opportunities.
The district, spanning 250,000 sqm of office space, will host global media networks, tech firms, creative agencies, and digital innovators. It will feature 450 residential homes, 15,000 sqm of retail and dining spaces, and the 325-room 1 Hotel Diriyah, marking the brand’s Middle East debut with a sustainable, locally inspired design.
Located near the 20,000-seat Diriyah Arena, the district aims to foster content creation, digital transformation, and industry collaboration. It has already attracted significant investor interest, including major broadcasting companies and global media leaders.
Diriyah is expected to house over 100,000 residents, create 178,000 jobs, and attract 50 million visitors annually, contributing $18.6 billion to Saudi GDP upon completion.
Diriyah Company Group CEO Jerry Inzerillo emphasized the district’s role in positioning Diriyah as a global media and tech hub, stating: "By leveraging Diriyah’s rich heritage and future-focused vision, we are creating a cutting-edge environment that will inspire groundbreaking ideas, creative content, and technological breakthroughs."
At MIPIM 2025, Diriyah also announced Armani Residences Diriyah, a 15-unit limited-edition project curated by Giorgio Armani, reinforcing its position as a premier destination for luxury, business, and culture.
