Dubai welcomes record-breaking 9.31 million visitors in first half of 2024
Dubai's achievements in tourism have been celebrated with a flurry of awards this year
Dubai has shattered tourism records yet again, welcoming a staggering 9.31 million international overnight visitors from January to June 2024. This represents a substantial nine percent increase compared to the same period in 2023, when the city attracted 8.55 million tourists.
The surge in visitor numbers perfectly aligns with the goals of Dubai Economic Agenda D33. The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) attributed the growth to the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and the department's concerted efforts in collaboration with industry stakeholders.
Dubai's world-class hospitality, coupled with its extensive range of attractions and events, has proven to be an irresistible draw for travelers around the world. Strategic partnerships and innovative initiatives have also played a pivotal role in driving the city's tourism success.
With six months of exceptional performance already under its belt, Dubai is well on its way to surpassing previous tourism records for the entire year.
