Shahzaib Ahmed Khan, co-founder of Karachi City Football Club, painted a bleak picture of the current state of football in Pakistan.

The lack of infrastructure and facilities is a major hindrance to the growth of the sport in the country. Khan's words echoed the sentiments of many football enthusiasts in Pakistan, who have long been frustrated by the dearth of investment in the sport.

During an exclusive interview with Nukta, he also spoke about FIFA ban on the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), which was lifted couple of days back, and the amendments in the PFF constitution which were suggested by the game’s global governing body ahead of the presidential elections.

However, Khan expressed optimism about the return of Stephen Constantine as the head coach of the Pakistan national team for the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers.

Despite the numerous challenges facing Pakistani football, Khan remains committed to promoting the sport and developing grassroots talent through his work with Karachi City Football Club.
