I have almost 20 years of experience in print, radio, and TV media. I started my career with "Daily Jang" after which I got the opportunity to work in FM 103, Radio Pakistan, News One, Ab Tak News, Dawn News TV, Dunya News, 92 News and regional channels Rohi TV, Apna Channel and Sach TV where I worked and gained experience in different areas of all three mediums. My journey from reporting to news anchor in these organisations was excellent. Now, I am working as a correspondent with Nukta in Islamabad, where I get the opportunity of in-depth journalism and storytelling while I am now covering parliamentary affairs, politics, and technology.

Google has unveiled a major educational initiative in Pakistan, offering students aged 18 and above a free one-year subscription to its Gemini AI Pro Plan.

The program is designed to help students enhance their learning, research and creativity by giving them access to Google’s most advanced AI tools entirely free of cost.

Under the plan, eligible students will gain access to a suite of premium features, including the Gemini 2.5 Pro model, which delivers advanced AI capabilities for deep research, academic writing and creative projects.

In addition, the plan integrates Gemini into Google Workspace apps such as Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet. This allows students to efficiently summarize emails, generate study presentations, and analyze data, streamlining academic workflows.

Students will also benefit from NotebookLM, Google’s AI-powered research and writing assistant, now offering five times more Audio Overviews and Notebooks for personalized learning.

Creative projects are supported through tools like Veo 3 in Gemini and Flow, enabling the creation of dynamic videos. Furthermore, the plan provides 2 TB of cloud storage across Google Drive, Gmail, and Photos, ensuring secure management of academic work and personal data.

The initiative reflects Google’s global commitment to empower students with AI-driven tools that foster academic growth and creativity.

The Gemini AI Pro Plan for students is now available across multiple Asia-Pacific countries, including Pakistan. Eligible university students can sign up online to access the free one-year subscription and explore Google’s cutting-edge AI capabilities for learning and innovation.
