Pakistan on Tuesday unveiled a federal budget worth PKR 17.57 trillion ($63 billion) for the 2025–26 fiscal year, aiming to push ahead with difficult reforms and sustainable growth.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb presented the budget in the National Assembly. It sets a revenue target of PKR 14.13 trillion, an 18.7% increase over the projected collection for the outgoing year.

The announcement came a day after the government released its Economic Survey, which reported 2.7% GDP growth for 2024–25 — below the 3.7% target.

The new budget lays out the government’s plans for revenue collection, expenditures, and key allocations. These include funding for defense, education, healthcare, and public development projects.

The government says the budget is designed to stabilize the economy while paving the way for long-term growth.

During Kamran Khan’s show On My Radar, live commentary and analysis came from economists and business leaders, including Asif Haroon, Ehsan Malik, Muhammad Sohail, and Asif Peer.
