The United Arab Emirates is expected to experience unsettled weather from March 4 to 5, as a combination of a surface low-pressure system, an upper-level trough, and a cold air mass moves across the region, WAM reported, citing the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

In its forecast, the NCM said varying cloud formations are expected, bringing scattered rainfall across the country. Showers are anticipated to be light to moderate, with the possibility of heavier rainfall over some northern and eastern areas.

The meteorology center added that winds will initially blow from the southeast before shifting northwest, reaching moderate to fresh speeds at times. Gusts may cause blowing dust in some areas, accompanied by a noticeable drop in temperatures.

Sea conditions are expected to deteriorate, with the Arabian Gulf turning rough from Tuesday night through Thursday. In the Gulf of Oman, waves will generally be slight to moderate but could become rough at times.

The NCM advised residents and mariners to take necessary precautions as the weather system impacts land and sea conditions.
