Lulu Retail has reached a significant milestone with 250 stores across six GCC countries, marking the occasion with the launch of two new express stores in Saudi Arabia. The latest additions, located in Jabal Omar, Makkah, and Sahara Mall, Riyadh, bring Lulu’s store count in the Kingdom to 59.
These openings are part of Lulu’s aggressive expansion strategy. In the first nine months of 2024 alone, the company opened 12 new stores, followed by nine additional stores in the subsequent months, pushing its total to 250.
The Sahara Mall Express store spans 1,500 square meters, offering a wide range of products, including groceries, fresh produce, and snacks. Meanwhile, the Jabal Omar store, covering 1,200 square meters, provides a broad selection across multiple categories.
In a statement to the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), Lulu confirmed it is “on track for further store openings planned in 2025.”
Founded in 1974, Lulu Retail recently celebrated its public debut with a landmark IPO, raising AED 6.32 billion ($1.72 billion)—the largest share offering of 2024.
