Meezan Bank has surpassed PKR 3.05 billion in cumulative housing finance disbursements under the Government of Pakistan’s Wazir-e-Azam Apna Ghar Programme – Ghar Ho Tu Apna, highlighting growing demand for affordable Shariah-compliant home financing.

Through its Easy Home financing solution, the bank has helped 490 families purchase homes through 100% Shariah-compliant financing, supporting the government’s efforts to expand affordable housing and financial inclusion.

Meezan Bank has also approved more than 3,000 housing finance applications under the Ghar Ho Tu Apna programme, with a cumulative approved financing amount exceeding PKR 22.557 billion. The approved pipeline points to significant potential for further disbursements as customers complete their property acquisition processes.

The milestone comes as demand grows for Shariah-compliant housing finance, particularly among salaried individuals. Meezan Bank said its nationwide branch network and dedicated housing finance teams are helping expand access to home financing across Pakistan.

Commenting on the achievement, Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, Group Head – Consumer Finance & Digital Banking at Meezan Bank, said affordable home ownership remains one of the bank’s key strategic priorities.

“Surpassing PKR 3 billion in disbursements under the Ghar Ho Tu Apna Programme reflects the trust our customers place in us and our commitment to providing authentic Shariah-compliant housing finance,” Siddiqui said. “With more than 3,000 approved applications in the pipeline, we remain committed to supporting the government’s affordable housing agenda and enabling thousands more Pakistani families to own a home through ethical Islamic financing.”

Meezan Bank said it remains focused on expanding access to affordable housing through customer-centric and Shariah-compliant financial solutions, while strengthening its housing finance portfolio and supporting Pakistan’s housing sector.
