UAE motorcycling star Mohammed Al Balooshi thrilled home fans as he clinched his third FIM Bajas World Cup title, becoming the first Arab rider to achieve the feat. The Emirati rider’s calculated performance saw him finish second in the Dubai event but secure the overall championship crown, WAM reported.
Sharing the podium in Dubai were Poland’s Konrad Dabrowski, who claimed the event win on his KTM 450, and Sultan Al Balooshi, who finished third, rounding off a memorable day for the region.
The FIA Baja World Cup also delivered high drama, with Portugal’s Joao Ferreira sealing the championship title in the cars category thanks to a strong second-place finish. Qatar’s Nasser Al Attiyah dominated the event, securing a record-breaking 13th Dubai International Baja victory.
In the Quads category, UAE’s Abdulaziz Ahli claimed a commanding win, while Poland’s Joanna Modrzewska captured the Women’s championship title after a season of consistent performances.
Adding to the action, Dubai-based Briton Alex McInnes delivered a standout ride, setting the fastest time on Stage 3 through the challenging dunes.
