In a dazzling display of skill, endurance, and competitive spirit, Nasir Iqbal of WAPDA and Mahnoor Ali of Peshawar captured the men’s and women’s titles respectively at the 3rd Chief of the Naval Staff All Pakistan Squash Championship 2025, held at the Pakistan Navy Roshan Khan Jahangir Khan Squash Complex in Karachi.
In the men’s final, Nasir Iqbal faced a tough challenge from Tayyeb Aslam of Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited. Both players showcased remarkable fitness and precision, thrilling the spectators with long rallies and skillful shot placement. Ultimately, Nasir Iqbal’s consistency and tactical brilliance earned him a hard-fought 3-1 victory.
The women’s final witnessed an equally gripping contest between Peshawar’s Mahnoor Ali and Sehrish Ali, where Mahnoor displayed superb control and resilience to claim the championship title with a 3-0 scoreline.
Addressing the closing ceremony, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf lauded the participants for their dedication, discipline, and sportsmanship. He expressed pride in Pakistan Navy’s continued efforts to promote sports, particularly squash — a discipline that has historically brought immense glory to Pakistan.
“Pakistan Navy remains deeply committed to nurturing and promoting squash at the national and international levels,” said Admiral Ashraf. “By organizing such championships, we aim to provide a platform for emerging players to excel and inspire the next generation of athletes.”
The Chief of the Naval Staff also presented trophies and cash prizes to the winners and runners-up, congratulating them on their outstanding achievements.
The 3rd Chief of the Naval Staff All Pakistan Squash Championship once again highlighted the depth of talent in Pakistan’s squash circuit and reaffirmed the nation’s rich sporting legacy in one of its most celebrated games.
