Pakistan's car financing rose to a 46-month high in April, totaling PKR 360 billion despite higher vehicle prices, according to data released by the State Bank of Pakistan.
The financing surge has accompanied a 107% jump in auto sales over the same period.

Pakistan's auto financing reached PKR 360 billion in April 2026. The figure was up 37% from PKR 263 billion in April 2025 and 4.1% from PKR 345 billion in March 2026. It matches the all-time high last recorded in June 2022.
April car sales hit 22,015 units, up 107% year-on-year and 42% month-on-month, according to Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) data. Cumulative 10-month sales rose 49% to 166,044 units.

Indus Motor Company (INDU) posted 33% year-on-year growth to 4,330 units. Corolla, Yaris, and Cross sales rose 37% YoY to 3,451 units.
Fortuner and IMV sales rose 18% year-on-year and 21% month-on-month to 879 units.
Hyundai Nishat Motors recorded an 11% year-on-year increase to 1,002 units, mostly on the strength of Tucson sales.
