I have almost 20 years of experience in print, radio, and TV media. I started my career with "Daily Jang" after which I got the opportunity to work in FM 103, Radio Pakistan, News One, Ab Tak News, Dawn News TV, Dunya News, 92 News and regional channels Rohi TV, Apna Channel and Sach TV where I worked and gained experience in different areas of all three mediums. My journey from reporting to news anchor in these organisations was excellent. Now, I am working as a correspondent with Nukta in Islamabad, where I get the opportunity of in-depth journalism and storytelling while I am now covering parliamentary affairs, politics, and technology.

Pakistan has approved the use of Wi-Fi 7, a major step toward faster and more reliable internet in the country.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) said Friday it will allow Wi-Fi 7 and future generations in the 6 GHz band, ranging from 5925 to 6425 MHz. The move follows rules set earlier for Wi-Fi 6E, placing Pakistan among the early adopters of Wi-Fi 7 in the Asia-Pacific region.
Wi-Fi 7 is designed for ultra-high speeds, minimal lag, and strong connections. It can support 8K video streaming, virtual and augmented reality, industrial automation, and advanced healthcare systems. By using the 6 GHz band, the technology will also ease congestion in traditional frequencies, lower broadband costs, and improve service for millions of users.
PTA said the new standard will benefit households with smoother streaming and online learning, while small businesses will gain cost-effective, high-speed broadband. Healthcare providers can expand telemedicine and real-time data sharing, and smart cities will be able to improve transport, safety, and other services.
“This milestone reflects our commitment to bridging the digital divide and ensuring Pakistan remains on the fast track toward an inclusive and resilient digital economy,” PTA said in a statement.
Wi-Fi 7 is the latest upgrade in wireless technology. It allows stronger and more reliable connections even when many devices are online at once, making it suitable for gaming, smart homes, and large-scale business needs.
With the approval, Pakistan aims to prepare its digital infrastructure for the future while positioning itself more firmly in the global technology landscape.
