Pakistan's top business body called Monday for easier business visas and stronger logistics cooperation with Dubai. The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) said the measures could significantly increase bilateral trade and investment. The call came at the Pakistan-Dubai Business Cooperation Roundtable, hosted by the FPCCI.

What is FPCCI seeking from Dubai?

FPCCI is seeking faster, more transparent business visa processing for Pakistani traders and investors travelling to Dubai. The federation also wants deeper logistics cooperation between the two sides. It says these steps could expand trade, investment, tourism and industrial cooperation while strengthening commercial links between Pakistan and Dubai.

What did FPCCI's president say at the roundtable?

FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh said Pakistan and Dubai have strong potential to expand cooperation across logistics, agriculture, development, energy, tourism and other sectors. He said closer collaboration in logistics could multiply trade between the two sides. Sheikh added that businesses on both sides are committed to expanding private-sector partnerships and strengthening business-to-business ties.

Who attended the Pakistan-Dubai roundtable?

A high-level delegation from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce attended the dialogue, along with leading members of Pakistan's business community. Sheikh called for joint initiatives to deepen commercial engagement and unlock new investment opportunities between the two economies. He reiterated that both sides have broad opportunities to expand economic cooperation.

Why does FPCCI want easier business visas?

Sheikh urged authorities to address visa-related challenges faced by Pakistani traders and investors travelling to Dubai. He called for a business visa process that is easier, more transparent and faster. He said improved visa access would help increase trade, investment, tourism and industrial cooperation, while strengthening commercial links between Pakistan and Dubai.
