Middle-order batter Saud Shakeel has been included, with the selectors considering him as a potential opener in Saim Ayub’s absence. Depending on conditions, opposition, and match strategy, Fakhar Zaman’s opening partner could be either Babar Azam or Saud Shakeel.
Usman Khan has been named as the backup wicketkeeper-batter behind captain Mohammad Rizwan.
