Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud arrived in Islamabad on Sunday on an official visit at the invitation of Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, officials said.
Dar received Prince Faisal at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to a statement issued by the Office of the Spokesperson.
The two sides will engage in comprehensive consultations on the evolving regional situation, the Foreign Office said.
The visit reflects the shared commitment of Pakistan and Saudi Arabia to sustained dialogue, close coordination and enhanced cooperation in addressing regional developments.
Upon his arrival, Prince Faisal was earlier received by Additional Secretary for the Middle East Syed Ahmad Maroof.
During the visit, the Saudi foreign minister is expected to hold consultations with Pakistan’s leadership on evolving regional developments and matters of mutual interest.
The visit comes as Islamabad hosts high-level consultations involving regional powers amid escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Earlier, Dar met Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Egyptian Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdelatty in Islamabad as part of a series of diplomatic engagements.
Dar and Fidan held talks at the Foreign Office, where they reaffirmed longstanding ties between Pakistan and Turkey and reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral relations. Officials said the two sides explored avenues to further strengthen their strategic partnership.
The two leaders exchanged views on recent regional developments, including the evolving situation in Iran, and stressed the importance of dialogue, de-escalation and sustained diplomatic engagement to promote peace and stability.
Abdelatty also met Dar during his visit. Both sides are set to hold bilateral consultations focused on regional developments and issues of mutual interest, officials said.
Fidan is visiting Pakistan along with the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and Egypt for high-level consultations on the evolving regional situation and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation.
The two-day meeting is being held in Islamabad on March 29 and 30 at Dar’s invitation and is expected to focus on key regional developments and coordination among participating countries.
The meetings come amid heightened geopolitical strain in the Middle East, where ongoing conflicts have raised concerns about regional security, energy flows and global economic stability.
Pakistan has stepped up diplomatic outreach in recent weeks, maintaining coordination with regional and international partners to support dialogue and de-escalation efforts.
Officials said the series of visits highlights diplomatic coordination among key regional actors and Pakistan’s engagement in efforts aimed at promoting stability in the Middle East.
