Pakistan’s sailing team secured silver medal at the 79th International Naval Academy Competition in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, this year.
The local sailors are also hopeful of securing a spot in the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028. It must be noted that Barcelona 1992 was the last time Pakistani sailors participated in the Olympics.
Pakistan have won 10 medals in sailing at the Asian Games but last one came in 2002 which is a major cause of concern.
