Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malky, met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday to deliver a formal invitation from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to attend the ninth Future Investment Initiative (FII) Forum in Riyadh from October 27 to 30, 2025, the Prime Minister’s Office said.
Accepting the invitation, Sharif conveyed warm greetings and respect to King Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, describing the forum as an important platform for strengthening economic and investment ties.
The meeting, held at the Prime Minister’s House, was “warm and cordial” and also touched on recent regional developments, the statement added.

The visit builds on Sharif’s meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince in June this year, when discussions in Makkah focused on regional security, Pakistan’s economic needs, and mediation efforts between Pakistan and India.
The leaders had also reaffirmed support for a Palestinian state based on the Arab Peace Initiative and U.N. Security Council resolutions, and reviewed bilateral cooperation in political, economic, and security areas.
That June engagement, attended by Pakistan’s army chief and senior ministers, also saw PM Sharif praise Saudi Arabia’s management of the Hajj pilgrimage.
Saturday’s meeting reinforces Islamabad’s push to deepen ties with Gulf partners as it seeks investment, economic support, and regional backing amid strained relations with India and domestic economic challenges.
